Vaccinations / Health

Current Vaccinations Required 
* All animals must have a CURRENT vaccination for the MINIMUM of a C.5 Vaccination in the case of dogs (This covers Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo virus, Parainfluenza and Bordatella) or the MINIMUM of an F.3 vaccination for cats (This covers feline herpes virus, feline calicivirus and feline panleukopaenia). The owner must provide to Penfield Boarding Kennels and Cattery the veterinarian records stating such. This can be done via email, post or in person and is to be received within 7 days of booking and must be prior to the commencement of your booking. All animals accepted for boarding must be free of fleas and ticks, owner will be charged accordingly for any animal admitted in to the kennel with parasites. Owner hereby represents that this animal has not been exposed to the above conditions or received treatment for such in the last 30 days.*
Vaccination Records Required 
I understand that I must submit prior to my arrival at the kennels all up to date vaccination records (this can be done via email, post or in person). Failure to do so will result in a $15.00 records retrieval fee if we are required to contact your vet to confirm your pets’ vaccination status.*
Right To Refuse Entry 
I understand that if my pet is not up to date with the current vaccinations required or I fail to provide records stating such I WILL be refused entry to the kennels.*


General Terms

Disclaimer 
Penfield Boarding Kennels and Cattery will exercise reasonable care and safety of your pet and to keep the boarding premises safe and secure. Penfield Boarding Kennel and Cattery liability for any boarded pet will not exceed $100. Pet owner is solely responsible for any property damage or bodily damage inflicted by the boarded animal. Penfield Boarding Kennels and Cattery cannot guarantee against accidents / illness. We will not be liable for loss or damages to pet’s belongings.*
Pets must be restrained 
I understand my pet must be either on a leash or in a secure carrier for the safety of not only my own pet but for staff and the other guests on the premises upon arrival.*
Disclosure *
It is incumbent of all owners and/or their agents to disclose all previous, current or ongoing treatments and/or medical conditions to staff. These includes surgeries, behavioural issues / traits, external conditions etc, accepted by Penfield Kennels for boarding. If you are unsure please contact Penfield Kennels direct.*
Opening Hours *
I understand that Penfield Kennels and Cattery’s hours of operation are between 8am and 5pm, 7 days per week and I WILL only drop off and/or collect my pet during these hours. A breach of operating hours will result in a $100 out of hours charge being added to my account. *

Pickup Authorisation Required *
I understand that if my pet is to be collected by someone other than myself, I will provide the kennel with my nominated person’s name and contact number.*
Medication And Treatment Authorisation *
Prescription medications must be provided in the original container with the veterinarian’s prescription. It will be administered as prescribed. Over the counter medications may be given only at the owner’s request. Penfield Boarding Kennels and Cattery is authorized by the owner to seek veterinary advice and care, including but not limited to emergency care, at their discretion and at the owner’s sole expense. Penfield Boarding Kennels and Cattery will attempt to contact the owner and/or nominated agent before obtaining this care if possible, but this document serves as full authorization to obtain veterinary care for the pet at the owner’s expense, whether or not the owner has been contacted.*


Payment Terms

Payment In Advance *
Owner agrees to pay current boarding price and for all specialty services in advance. No cash refunds will be issued for any reason: boarding credit (valid for 6 months from issue) will be issued for cancellations within 7 days. No credit will be issued for early returns. Access to pet will be denied and pet will not be released until all charges are paid.*
Nightly Rates *
I understand I will be charged a nightly rate for boarding like a hotel e.g. Day of entry is charged for and if pick up is before 12 noon on the day of departure that day is not charged for.*
